Precision Tooling to Meet Your Needs
Stem Cell
microtools are used to transfer embryonic stem cells into
blastocysts. They come in five sizes: 15-17μm I.D., 17-19µm
I.D., 19-21μm I.D., 22-24µm I.D., and 24-26µm I.D.
The smaller sizes are typically used for stem cells of human
origin while the larger stem cell micropipets are used for stem
cells of mouse origin. Both have a bevel with a short, sharp spike.
Other diameters are available by ordering a customized Stem Cell
micropipet and specifying the desired diameter size.
Stem Cell micropipets
may be ordered straight or with an angle. Angle choices are 15º, 20º
25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º. Standard Stem Cell micropipets are bent
0.5mm from the tip of the pipet, however, you may order a customized
Stem Cell micropipet angled 1mm, 1.5mm or 2.0mm from the tip.
A number of
micropipets are typically stocked in our inventory. Others
are made when ordered and require 4-6 weeks delivery time.

Piezo drill
micropipets are made to fit the piezo-based micromanipulator.
They are often used for ICSI in mice or for the creation of
transgenic animals. These are made with a blunt opening and come
with any inner diameter between 5µm and 20µm (I.D.).
They are bent 6mm from
the tip and may be ordered straight or with a 15º or 25º angle. When
ordering, please specify sterile or non-sterile. Other angles are
available by ordering a customized Piezo drill micropipet and
including your specifications.
