PGD (Preimplantation Genetic
Diagnosis) micropipets are used to perform
biopsies on the embryo (blastocyst) or the oocyte
(polar body).
Standard Blastomere Biopsy micropipets for PGD
come with a number of options. They are offered in
3 diameters: 28-32μm, 33-37μm and 38-42μm I.D. They may be
ordered flat and polished, or beveled and
polished. You may specify a different diameter by
ordering a customized Blastomere Biopsy micropipet.
Polar Body Biopsy micropipets are made with
a 13-15μm I.D opening and are offered flat and
polished, beveled and polished or beveled with a
spike. Other diameters are available by ordering
customized biopsy micropipets and specifying the
desired diameter.
Biopsy micropipets may be
ordered straight or with an angle. Angle choices
are 15°, 20°, 25°, 30°, 35°, 40° and 45°.
A number of micropipets are
typically stocked in our inventory. Others are
made when ordered and require 4-6 weeks delivery
